A Breakthrough Menopause Treatment
The Center for Anti-Aging & Weight Loss is dedicated to helping women and men throughout the San Ramon Valley feel young even as their bodies change. In Danville, Oakland, San Francisco and the Bay Area, people are fighting back against the signs of menopause and andropause with a procedure called Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Beginning in our 30s, hormone levels drop 10-14% each decade from the optimum levels of our youth. Lower energy, sleeplessness, lower libido, weight gain and a bevy of other complaints can accompany these declining levels. Conventional medicine considers these to be unavoidable signs of aging, but while menopause and andropause are a natural part of life, you can control how you go through these changes and how you feel before, during and after.
With BHRT, how you feel and function can be restored to a more youthful time, while also protecting against neurological, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal deterioration. Optimal hormone therapy is about more than vanity; it is about your health and overall quality of life.
Symptoms of Menopause in Women
Hot flashes and night sweats are not the only negative symptoms of menopause. Poor concentration, mood swings, vaginal dryness, weight gain and sleeplessness can also be brought about by decreasing hormone levels due to menopause. While these symptoms may decrease over time, risks of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s disease actually increase.
Symptoms of Andropause in Men
Men, like women, experience real physical and emotional changes as they age. Andropause can present many similar symptoms to menopause. Men may find their sex drive decreasing, their workouts less effective and their overall motivation lower. Hormonal imbalances are often the root of chronic health problems and can increase the risk of serious disease.
The Center for Anti-Aging & Weight Loss Approach
Each patient begins his or her journey with a consultation appointment during which Dr. Allende will explain the program in depth and answer all your questions. He will also ask questions about your health and lifestyle. Each new patient then receives a lab requisition. Once lab work is complete, patients are scheduled for a physical with Dr. Kemprud. The doctors consult, and a treatment plan is put in place. Our doctors keep in close contact with patients, and new lab work is done often, so they can gauge your response to treatment.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept insurance for our BHRT program. Contact the Center for Anti-Aging & Weight Loss today to learn about program fees, and ask about a discount for couples who choose to begin the program together.
